It is 5/31 at 8:07 PM. I have been jumping around in my head.

Why have people evolved to enjoy music? If we evolved from the process of natural selection, it must serve some biological purpose. What on earth is it?

Why do we find nature beautiful? Why do we find anything beautiful at all?

These and more prove there are many parts of the human mind which may not come from natural selection at all. Where do they come from, and why do almost all people recognize beauty and music if neither of them have any determination on whether our genes are passed? Why have traits such as appreciation of music and art been passed so successfully down the human line that nearly every human being can recognize them?

The mind is incredibly complex. Any monkey can tell you that. Is it possible to re-create the mind, and on what medium could it be re-created? A computer? Another living being? What is the mind, and why are we conscious? Is consciousness an illusion? Can a computer be self-conscious? Only time may tell.
